Julia Scaparotti wins Miss Massachusetts USA 2017!!
Julia Scaparotti defeated 106 other contestants to bag the crown of Miss Massachusetts USA 2017. Grand finale of the pageant took place on Sunday November the 20th at Lowell Auditorium • Lowell, MA. Julia was crowned by the outgoing Miss Massachusetts USA, Whitney Sharpe. Julia will now represent Massachusetts at the Miss USA 2017 pageant next year.
At the same event, Amanda Soucy bagged the first runner-up crown. The second runner-up title was awarded to Gabrielle Tavaras. Heidi Duran and Allison DeJesus were crowned third and fourth runner-ups respectively. Caitlyn Martin bagged the Miss Teen Massachusetts USA 2017 crown. Caitlyn will represent Massachusetts at Miss Teen USA 2017 next year.
Massachusetts has produced two Miss USA winners, Shawnae Jebbia Miss USA 1998 and Susie Castillo Miss USA 2003. Diane Pollard in 1978 bagged the first runner-up crown for the state.
