Beautiful 24-years-old Angela Bonilla was declared as the winner of Miss Global 2016 pageant. She represented Ecuador in the contest. The finale of the pageant was held at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City. She battled out 30 other contestants to claim the title of Miss Global. Angela Bonilla succeeds Jessica Peart from Australia as the new Miss Global.
At the same event, Camille Hirro from Philippines finished as first runner-up and Miss Australia Caitlyn Henry finished as second runner-up. Nikola Bechynova from Czech Republic and Britt Roselyn Rekkedal from Norway were third and fourth runners-up, respectively.
The contestants from India, China, Netherlands, Canada and Kenya completed the Top 10. Whereas delegates from Ukraine, Russia, Trinidad & Tobago, Cambodia, Chile, Iran, Nigeria, Bulgaria, Botswana and Sweden made it to the Top 20 of the contest.
It is a funny co-incidence that Angela Bonilla previously participated in Philippines based pageant Miss Earth 2015 where she was one of the front runners but failed to place in the finale. She again competed in Philippines based pageant Miss Global 2016 and won the title. She will now promote Philippine tourism as well as promote Senhoa Foundation’s advocacy of supporting vulnerable people ad survivors of human trafficking. Natalie Glebova, Miss Universe 2005, was one of the hosts of the event.
