Ashlie Barrett, Miss French Connection Events, has been chosen as Miss Jamaica World 2016.  She succeeds Sanneta Myrie, Miss World 2015 4th Runner-up, as the reigning Miss Jamaica World.  Ashlie will now compete at the prestigious Miss World 2016 pageant which will be held in December 2016, in the United States of America.

This 20 years old beauty is from Kingston.  She is model and events planner.  In the finals, 1st Runner-up to her was Miss S&G Road Servicing, Whitney Levy and 2nd Runner-up was Miss Deja Resorts, Milinda Smith.  In total, 15 girls competed in the pageant.

Jamaica is one of the strong performers in Miss World. The country has won 3 Miss World titles till now.  The Miss World winners from Jamaica are Carole Crawford, Cindy Breakspeare and Lisa Hanna.  Last year’s representative from Jamaica, Sanneta Myrie did exceptionally well in Miss World and placed in Top 5.  Expectations are always high from Jamaica and Ashlie Barrett is no exception.  Will she live up to them?

In terms of physical beauty, Ashlie is strong.  Girls from Jamaica are well-prepared and often well-spoken.  There are good chances that we see her in Top 20 and may be beyond!
