India’s Next Top Model Season 2 Episode 1: Arial Shoot
India’s Next Top Model Season 2 Episode 1 started with a bang, having 13 contestants competing for one ultimate title of being the next Top Model of India. 18-year-old Danielle Canute was the winner for 1st ever season of this contest. This year, we saw many good things in the contest compared to last year, as follow:

- The pool of contestants was much better than last year girls. Last year, almost all girls looked extremely raw in first episode but this time half of them are already bringing on their ‘A’ game from the first round itself.
- The girls have better heights and figures compared to last year, which makes it easier to imaging them as a model.
- Half of the girls are already either model or pageant contestants, which makes it easier for them to gather a good fan following and also for the show.
- The final task (Arial Shoot) in Season 1 was the first task in season 2, which shows that the tasks ahead will be extremely innovative and much more complex compared to the last season
- Since most of the girls are already experienced and outspoken compared to last year, we speculate lot of cat fights and spice for the audience and a good amount of entertainment.
Coming back to the review of the First Episode of Season 2, the girls were given props and were asked to do Arial shoot. Neelam Virwani volunteered to go first and got extra 5 minutes for the shoot. The show ended with judges reviewing only half of the girls. The other girls shall be review next week. But, you don’t have to wait for the show to see the review. We hereby present the review of each girl in the task by our experts. Here it goes…
India’s Next Top Model Season 2 Episode 1 : Arial Shoot
Akanksha Sharma

The girls were basically asked to pose as a happy go lucky kind of girl and we feel Akanksha Sharma nailed it. Actually, the basic outlook of Akanksha is like happy go lucky only, very sweet and demure looking. Her pose resembles to a happy cheer leader who is jumping high as if her team has won the show. We are quite curious to know how far this sweet looking girl goes in the contest. We would really love to see a fierce side of her. As of now, she is one of our Top 3 favourites for the title.
Ana Chawdhary

Ana Chawdhary has the best personality out there. If this contest was about speaking, she would have killed the competition the first day itself. We also loved her pose. She was holding balloon in hand. Although, it’s not visible in the picture, it gives illusion as if she is floating in the air because of that. For a moment it reminded me of UP (Oscar winner Animated Movie of 2009)
Ashmita Jaggi

Ashmita Jaggi took too much of efforts in giving out the shot but it didn’t reflect in the picture. Judges were disappointed by her shot. They even trolled her for her attitude but we felt it was not really required because it was Lisa who probed her about her determined attitude. If there is an elimination based on this round, we predict Ashmita to get eliminated.
Jantee Hazarika

Jantee Hazarika was one of our favourites when she was in Miss India 2014. She placed amongst Top 10 there. Since we knew her already, we expected much more from her. We thought she would be leading this round easily, but few other girls did bit better. However, we loved her variations and confident on the rope. She will stay for long time for sure.
Minash Ravuthar

We actually liked Minash Ravuthar’s picture in this shot a lot. If happy go lucky was the theme, this translates perfectly into it. Not sure what Neeraj Gaba was expecting from her that he ridiculed her picture. If there is elimination based on this round, expecting her to be eliminated because of judges disappointment. But remember, our team absolutely loved her shot.
Neelam Virwani

The kind of height Neelam has, she could have easily outperformed everyone. But she failed to live upto the expectations. She was decent but not great when it came to giving variations in the poses. We expect a little more from her in next round, if she stays.
Poulomi Das

Poulomi Das seem to have enjoyed the task a lot. Even weather favoured her during the task, when her umbrella got reversed and she burst into laughter out of joy. This excelled her poses and the overall shoot went so in line with theme.
Pranati Prakash Rai

Pranati was hot favourite for the crown of Miss India 2015. She was this sweet and demure look that you can easily love her presence in the show. Her poses were good, however the shot selected by Daboo could have been a little better. Pranati does have potential but she looks bit lost in the crowd of stunners. We do hope she plays her cards well as the contest progresses.
Priya Banerjee

Priya Banerjee’s poses and shoot was decent. Not bad not good. Either she will be eliminated soon or we are underestimating her too early.
Raavishree Raavi Ambiger

We couldn’t see much of Raavi because not much focus was given to her during the telecast. However, she looks decent. We would love to see more of her in coming episodes. Her pose is decent but looks raw potential but we are optimistic about her performance further.
Rajshree Singha

Rajashree Singha is extremely sweet looking contestant out there. You can’t stop smiling as far as you are staring her. Very innocent and genuine girl she is. She looks like underdog but somehow we feel she will surprise everyone just like Danielle did last year. Rajshree wasn’t giving much varied poses but we could see the potential. As of now, this photo shoot communicates positive energy.
Subhomita Banerjee

She is a unanimous choice of our team for India’s Next Top Model title at this moment. She was the girl who gave highest possible number of poses and expression to the camera. Who could say she is the contestant here? Such a lovely girl with so much of potential to unfold in further series. She should stay very long in the game as per our prediction.
Our Winner for this Round : Subhomita Chatterjee
