Lopamudra Raut is Miss United Continents India 2016

Lopamudra Raut was crowned as Miss United Continents India 2016 in a private ceremony. Not just once, but twice ;). Both the time,she was crowned by the outgoing queen, Sushrii Shreya Mishraa, who was 3rd runner-up at Miss United Continents 2015. Lopamudra Raut is not new to pageants. First time we saw her at Femina Miss India Goa 2013 where she was 1st Runner-up. Later on she was one of the Top 23 finalists of Miss India 2013 but went unplaced. She came back in Miss India 2014 and became one of the Top 5. Later she returned at Miss Diva 2014 where she was one of the Top 7 finalists.

Lopamudra won Best Body Subtitle in Miss India 2013 as well as in Miss India 2014. She also won Miss Best Legs and Miss Adventurous in Miss India 2013. Pageant fans across India have always wanted to see Lopamudra representing India at some international pageant and this news has brought in sheer joy amongst them. Co-incidentally, Lopamudra’s batch mate from Miss Goa 2013, Miss India 2013 and Miss India 2014 Gail Nicole D’silva was also a representative of India at Miss United Continents 2014 where she stood 3rd in the contest.

India has always performed at Miss United Continents, Purva Rana was  Vice Queen in Miss United Continents 2013, Gail Nicole D’Silva won first runner up title in Miss United Continents 2014, also winning Miss Photogenic and Best National Costume Award. Later,  Sushrii Shreya Mishra placed as third runner up in Miss United Continents 2015, along with Miss Photogenic and Best National Costume Award.
