Pinay Beauty Queens: Pia & Hillarie – Who will rock this weekend?

Finally the most awaited weekend of the year has arrived.  Today within 12 hours we will know the name of Miss World 2015.  In about 48 hours from now, we will know the name of Miss Universe 2015.  This month has been pretty exciting for pageant fans because of the many international pageants that kept that busy.  This may be especially true for pageant-crazy people of Philippines.  Philippines won Miss Earth this year.  In Miss Supranational, Miss Philippines made the Top 10 cut.  In Miss Intercontinental, Philippines finished a close second.  Thus expectations are very high from Hillarie Parungao and Pia Wurtzbach who will be wearing the prestigious Philippines sashes at Miss World and Miss Universe respectively this weekend.  What will be the fates of these pinay beauty queens in the finals of the pageants?

The first warrior Miss World Philippines Hillarie Parungao headed to Sanya with lots of hope and rightly so, because the girl is stunning facially.  She placed in Top 30 of the prestigious Top Model event and impressed everyone with her looks and walk.  We expect her to place in the Top 5 too!  She has made it to the Top 10 of People’s Choice Award and perhaps will win a Top 5/10 placement if she wins the award.  Considering the support that Pinay beauty queens receive from their fans, it is quite possible.  However, Hillarie may not need the direct entry at the first place because she may place high by her merits.  She is also said to be one of the Top 25/40 finalists of “Beauty With Purpose” award.  Pinay beauty queens are always very prepared and hence we expect her to score high in interviews.  In most probability, she will be among the Top 10 finalists.  She can make the Top 5 too, because Top 5 is chosen generally based on overall looks and conduct during the finals.  Hillarie is gorgeous and presents herself very well on the stage.  Thus, the pinay fans can wait for the pageant with optimism.

The second warrior Binibining Pilipinas Pia Wurtzbach is a warrior in true sense.  She won the national pageant on third attempt and is said to be preparing for Miss Universe from three years.  In months between her national pageant and Miss Universe, she totally transformed herself in terms of physique.  In Miss Universe, we saw a lean Pia who totally rocked the presentation show with her beautiful face and polished walk.  The support she got from her fans in the venue was just an icing on the cake.  The fact that this year people will be global fan vote will play a part in the judging process can also work in her favor.  She is perhaps the best among pinay beauty queens at Miss Universe and has a really good chance to win Miss Universe.  If I were a pinay, I would be counting hours to the finals!

Thus, Philippines has a lot to look forward to this weekend.  Although Hillarie can make the country proud, but Pia can perhaps make the people of her country go crazy with joy and gaeity.  This weekend in Philippines belongs to these two stunning Pinay beauty queens! Whom are YOU rooting for?!
