Morgan Abel is crowned Miss Indiana 2016!!!
Morgan Abel was crowned as Miss Indiana USA 2016 in a glittering ceremony that took place on 29th November 2015 at The Center For The Performing Arts. Morgan was crowned by the outgoing Miss Indiana USA 2015-Gretchen Reece. Morgan will represent Indiana at Miss USA 2016 pageant next year. Morgan also won the Miss Photogenic award which her predecessor Gretchen had won at Miss USA 2015 pageant earlier this year. Darrian Arch bagged the first runner-up crown where as Brittany Winchester was declared as second runner-up. In the same event Lauren Boswell was crowned as Miss Teen Indiana USA 2016. Lauren will represent Indiana at Miss Teen USA 2016 next year.
Indiana is yet to win the Miss USA crown but it has a first runner-up crown courtesy of Holli Dennis in 1981 and two second runner-up crowns of Elaine Richards in1966 and Kelly Lloyd at Miss USA 2002 pageant.Jayme Buecher Miss Indiana USA 1978 is the only third runner up from the state.Apart from these ladies Indian has made it to the semis just nine times.

25 year old Morgan hails from North Vernon.She is graduate of Indiana University – Columbus. Morgan works at n the Mental Health Unit at Columbus Regional Hospital as a registered nurse. She wants to pursue masters degree at Indian University to become a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.Morgan describes herself a trill seeker who enjoys skiing,racing,knee boarding. She enjoys singing on state as a vocalist. She is associated with many NGO’s such as Red Cross, Hospice,Turning Point Domestic Violence Shelter,National Alliance of Mental Illness,AYS and HOPE, CHAMP Camp.
