Dayana Grageda crowned Miss Earth Australia second time in a row

Dayana Grageda is Miss Earth Australia 2015

Dayana Grageda was crowned Miss Earth Australia 2015 at the end of the national pageant. Dayana will now represent Australia in Miss Earth 2015, to be held in Viena, Austria later this year. She was crowned by the outgoing queen Nadine Roberts, Miss Earth Australia 2014. Dayana had to beat 16 other stunning contestants to win this title. She is truly an Earth warrior because long before she even won Miss Earth Australia title, she has volunteered in various wildlife preservation projects, including that of elephants in Thailand. If she plays her cards right, we can see a placement for Australia this time and knowing that she is a strong performer, an elemental crown isn’t far-fetched either.

It is to be noted that Dayana Grageda has won this title twice. She was also the winner of Miss Earth Australia 2014 but she was dethroned in the last moment quoting that she didn’t fulfil her duties. She was accused by the then owner of Miss Earth Australia franchise of not signing the important documents. The allegations were denied by Dayana Grageda stating that she was ready with her documents but the director was not ready to meet her. Later on, the 3rd runner-up of the same pageant, Nadine Roberts went on to represent Australia in Miss Earth 2014. However, Dayana reapplied this year and came back extremely strong to win the title again. This is one of the rarest occurrences in pageant world where a girl wins the same title twice.

The pageant franchise went on to the new team, which is being headed by Miss Earth Australia 2010 Kelly Louise, who was also a Top 5 at Miss Grand International 2013. The pageant is now affiliated with Miss World Australia.
