Miss India Simran Kaur Mundi, who represented the country at Miss Universe 2008 in Vietnam, will play the heroine of TV star Kapil Sharma in the movie “Kis Kisko Pyaar Karu”.  The famous director duo Abbas-Mustan will be directing the film.  Kapil Sharma will be making his debut in Bollywood with this film.  Arbaaz Khan, Manjari Phasnis, Amrita Puri, Elli Avram, Sai Lokur, Varun Sharma, Supriya Pathak, Sharat Saxena, Manoj Joshi, Chali and Jamie Lever (Johnny Lever’s daughter) will also be a part of the film.  The film will release in India on 25th September 2015.

This will be the third bollywood venture of Simran Kaur Mundi.  Prior to this, she has starred in “Jo Hum Chahein” with Sunny Gill in 2011 and in “Kuku Mathur ki Jhand Ho Gayi” opposite Sidhdharth Gupta in 2014.  Both the films were unsuccessful at box-office, though Simran’s work was appreciated in the first film.  Simran has also starred in Punjabi & Telugu films.

The film is a big break for Simran because it is directed by Abbas-Mustan, who have made many successful movies in past, like Khiladi, Baazigar, Soldier, Baadshah, Ajnabee, Humraaz, Aitraaz and Race among others.  The film may get a positive opening at the box office because not only is it directed by Abbas-Mustan, but it also stars Kapil Sharma, who is a house-hold name for his popular stand-up comedy acts and TV Show “Comedy Nights with Kapil”.  Kapil Sharma was to first make his debut under Yash Raj Films banner with film Bank Chor, but he later opted out from the project.
