Maja Spahija wins Miss Croatia World 2015 (Miss Hrvatske 2015)

Maja Spahija from Split, Sibenik is the Miss Croatia World 2015 for Miss World. The pageant is also known as Miss Hrvatske. It is the oldest and most prestigious pageant of the country. The first princess was Catherina Cavar from Zagreb. The second princess was Anja Bijlic from Zadar.

The pageant took place on June 12. 16 girls competed for the chance to represent the country at the most prestigious pageant of the world, Miss World. The finals of Miss World 2015 will take place on December 19 in Sanya, China.

Miss Croatia 2015 — Miss Croatia 1994 (5th in MW)

The pageant started in the year 1992. In 1993, Miss Croatia Fani Capalija finished fourth. In 1994, Miss Croatia Branka finished fifth. In 1995, Miss Croatia Anica Martinovic finished close second to Jacqueline Aguilera of Venezuela. However, since then the country has been weak at Miss World. The girls from the country could make the first cut (Top 15/16) in 1999 and 2008.

Maja Spahija is tall, lean & striking. With proper grooming, she can do well at Miss World. A good “Beauty with purpose” project can help her crack the Top 10 in Miss World 2015.
