Miss World 2014: Pre Arrival Hotpicks
Just one day for Miss World 2014, to kick start the search of world’s most beautiful woman. A total of 125 girls will be battling out for the crown of Miss World 2014 in London. The finale will be held on 14th December where the outgoing queen Megan Young, from Philippines, will crown the new Miss World. Also to be noted, this year, the pageant will be starting on a sad note of devastating news of murder of Miss World Honduras 2014, Maria Jose Alvarado. May her soul rest in peace.

Our expert panel had to give a tough thought to arrive with a concrete Top 20 as the lot is diverse this year. Although, the listed ladies are our pre-arrival favourites, many other girls may surf up once the actual competition begins where the major factors like Personality, charm, focus will come into pictures in the Fast Track events.
Miss World 2014: South Africa
Rolene Strauss is simply the best girl in this pageant because of the fact that she is a dynamic combo of Facial beauty+ Engaging personality+ Positive radiance. This girl was a unanimous choice of our experts’ panel. We believe, this is the right time for South Africa to conquer the crown of Miss World with a stunning delegate like Rolene, who is one of the most beautiful Miss South Africa crowned ever.
1st Princess: Moldova
Alexandra Caruntu is one of those rarest stunners that Moldova has sent to any pageants. We wonder why most of the beauty pageant portals are yet to realize her potential? After South Africa, we find her the second most competitive delegate. Moldova has got modelesque look which will help her gain a high position in Top Model fast track event. She was also our Early Top 5 pick for Miss World 2014. Watch out for this girl, she has potential to pull a huge huge surprise against everybody’s expectations.
2nd Princess: England
Carina Tyrrel will be representing the host country, just like in 2011 where England reached Top 7, and is certainly assumed to be performing well. However, this doesn’t imply that her high position will be because of home ground influence. Carina’s face is a treat to watch, she has this shy innocent charm which Miss World winners radiates. Carina is good to go in Beach Beauty, if at all happening, and for Top Model.
3rd Runner Up: India
Koyal Rana is one of the most prepared delegates for Beauty with a Purpose fast track event, which holds 1.5 times the score of normal fast tracks. Her project was also awarded as the best at her national pageant, where Mrs. Julia herself was in judging panel. Koyal’s beauty is universal which can attract the attention of any passer by and also her humble attitude is an added advantage at a pageant like Miss World. Her body seems fit and runway skills are also polished. We expect her to do good at Beach Beauty, Top Model and Beauty with a Purpose.
4th Runner Up: France
Flora Coquerel is definitely bringing up the game of France this year. She was also one of our Early Top 5 picks. However, this girl will have a tough task to replicate the success of her predecessor, Marine Lorphelin, who ended up a 1st princess to Megan. Coquerel is expected to do well at Beach Beauty, Top Model and Beauty with a Purpose..
Completing the Top 10, the lot will be filled up by following girls:
6th: Puerto Rico
Genesis Davila is already 1st runner up at Miss Intercontinental 2012 and Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2013. Hence, she is very well expected to continue the legacy at this pageant as well. She has little strong features which Miss World org may not prefer but again to deny her presence is impossible. She is definitely the best girl in Caribbean and we will be closely watching her during the contest.
7th: Russia
Talk of beauty? then talk of Russia. Russia, once again, has sent an angelic girl to the contest in the form of Anastasia Kostenko. She was 2nd runner up at her national pageant and was selected to represent Russia at Miss World 2014. We doubt she will do well in Beach Beauty but Top Model finalist placement is possible. Rest all Fast track will determine her ultimate ending position but right now we see her in our Top 10.
8th: Mexico
Daniela Alvarez was a hot favorite since her national pageant crowning on many pageant portal, including us. This girl is like a hit or miss. She may end up placing in top 5 or may even fail. However, we expect her to do well in Top model and Beach Beauty which is enough to make her noticeable. Presently, our assessment says she will be in top 10.
9th: Philippines
Valerie Weigmann will be trying to conquer a back to back title for Philippines, which is definitely a tough task considering her skinny frame. However, it’s not impossible since Miss World had 3 back to back in past. Valerie was a hot favourite to win at her national pageant and swept all the important fast track awards with an ease. Hence, expect her to do well at Miss World. It is to be noted that none of the of the winner country has placed in Miss World in the following year since 2002.
10: South Sudan
Awien Kuanyin Agoth, is one of the strongest Africans this year. She was also a hot favourite to win her national pageant and her win brought the wave of joy in pageant lovers, especially who admires black beauties. Awein is expected to follow the legacy of Atong Demach, who finished 4th in 2012.
Completing the Top 20, the lot will be filled up by following girls:
Thailand, Turkey, United States, Australia, Guyana, Argentina, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Austria, Ukraine
