Before #missuniverse 2015 fiasco, Mrs. World 2006 also went through the wrong crowning and protest phase.
Although the host made right announcement, the outgoing queen mistakenly crowned Andrea Bermudez from Costa Rica as Mrs World 2006, soon to realise that the real winner was Sofia Arzhakovskaya from Russia. This lead to protest from other contestants and audience. However, the crowning of Sofia was later shot with minimal contestants on stage.

Miss World 2000 Priyanka Chopra Jonas has joined the list of speakers at the 2019 Women in the World Summit alongwith Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), actors Ashley Judd, Bryan Cranston, director Jill Solowayand, among others with a keynote address from Oprah Winfrey. Priyanka will discuss her career as an activist and entrepreneur.
