In a proud moment for India and the Chakhesang tribe of Nagaland, Vevounulu Ringa claimed the prestigious title of Ms Unity Air 2024 at the grand finale of Ms Unity World 2024. Competing against 25 contestants from across the globe, Vevo, as she is fondly known, made history as the first woman from Nagaland’s Chakhesang tribe to represent Asia at an international pageant and bring home a title.
Throughout the competition, Vevo shone in a series of rounds, including Talent, National Costume, Evening Gown, Cocktail Wear, and Personal Interview. Her traditional attire from Nagaland in the National Costume round particularly stood out, bringing a piece of her cultural heritage to the global stage.
Adding to her crowning achievement, Vevo also secured two coveted subtitles: Best Advocacy and Miss Youthful, further impressing the esteemed jury with her vibrant personality and commitment to impactful causes. Born and raised in Chesezu Village, Phek District, Vevo currently resides in Bengaluru, where she works as a Team Lead in a reputed firm.

Vevounulu’s journey to the international stage began when she was crowned by the Miss Cosmos Queen India Organization in September, following which she underwent an intense month of training to prepare for the Ms Unity World pageant. Her dedication and poise have made her a remarkable role model, bringing both her community and the continent a moment of pride and celebration.
