Indian beauty queens are the most successful beauty queens in the world. They taste success pretty much after winning the crown and go on to become supermodels, international superstars, Fashion icons and much more. India has blessed beauty queens with the world’s largest and most credible platform to taste success and enjoy stardom, that’s Bollywood. This industry has catapulted the career several beauty queens. But there is a saying, “Exceptions are always there”, so there is an exception as well. In this exclusive post we will be talking about the epitome of beauty and grace, who was already a successful personality before she won any crown. She is Urvashi Rautela, Supermodel, Bollywood star and the only Indian woman to win maximum beauty contests.
Urvashi Rautela started her career as a model in her teenage and entered Miss Teen India 2009 beauty contest where she bagged the title of Miss Beautiful smile. She instantly became a huge sensation in the Indian fashion industry and continued to work as model for next two years. In 2011, at the age of 17, she won the Miss Tourism Queen of The International contest held in China. She is the first and only Indian woman to win the said pageant. The same year she also won the Asian Supermodel contest held in South Korea.
She grabbed attention for her extremely gorgeous face, light-green-brownish eyes, remarkable stage presence and the towering well-sculpted figure. In 2012, she entered I AM She– Miss Universe India contest and won the coveted crown. Apart from winning the title she also won the special award for Miss Photogenic. The contest was organized by India’s first Miss Universe and Bollywood superstar, Sushmita Sen. However, Urvashi could not compete in Miss Universe because of being underage.
After winning the crown, Urvashi made her Bollywood debut opposite, Bollywood legendary actor, Sunny Deol. Pretty soon, Urvashi became a household name in India. She was enjoying all the success and stardom but there was still something that she felt was left behind and that was her dream to represent India at Miss Universe pageant. So finally in 2015 she joined the Indian pageantry again and reclaimed her title. By doing so, she became the first and only Indian woman to win the Miss India crown twice. No other Indian girl has accomplished this.
Till now Urvashi has been a part of several super successful music videos and has appeared in Bollywood films. Her music videos, Love Dose, Sanam Re and Gal Ban Gayi are amongst the most popular Indian music videos of all time. She is working as a model as well and currently resides in Mumbai, often referred to as the City of Dreams. Her latest song, Haseeno Ka Deewana in Bollywood movie Kaabli gained her much appreciation and applause. She is regarded as one of the most successful and beautiful Miss India winners of all time.
