Meghan Nimwiza defeated 14 other contestants to bag the title of Miss Rwanda 2019. The grand finale of Miss Rwanda 2019 took place at Intare Conference Centre in Nyagahinga, Kabuga, Rwanda. Liliane Iradukunda the outgoing Miss Rwanda crowned Meghan as her successor. Meghan will now represent Rwanda at the Miss World 2019 pageant later this year where she will try to succeed Mexico’s Vanessa Ponce as the next Miss World. Uwihirwe Yasipi Casimir bagged the first runner-up crown whereas Uwase Sangwa Odile was declared as the second runner-up. Gaju Anita & Kabahenda Ricca Michaella completed the top 5.
Meghan will receive a stipend of Rwf 800,000 for 12 months along with being the ambassador for Cogebanque brand she will also receive a Suzuki Swift. Meghan Nimwiza’s project was to help & encourage young people to join the agricultural sector in her home country.
