TGPC’s Pageant Grooming Batch-1: What all happened!!!
The first pageant grooming workshop by TGPC was held on 12th and 13th January at Vorq Space Solutions in Andheri East, Mumbai. The workshop begun at 8:30 AM with a sense of excitement in the participants as well as the groomers, because it was the first of its kind for everyone. 16 participants were present on day 1 and there were 5 groomers – the TGPC owners Ankit Modi, Dipak Shahi and Farhan Kazi, along with Miss Global International Asia Bhairavi Burad and Teen Universe India Shriya Torne.

The first session was taken by Dipak Shahi and it focused on how the pageant aspirants should use social media to garner and nurture their following on the internet and make an impact on the organisers. Thus, P for Public Relations was covered. The second session (P for Presentation) post a short tea-break was taken by Shriya Torne who explained the participants about styling and make-up. Make-up skills were taught with demonstration on a participant and the subject of styling was covered in extensive details. The session was interactive, the participants learnt more about the styling that will personally suit them.
The third session (P for Performance) begun post lunch. In this session, Bhairavi Burad taught ramp-walk skills to the participants. The ramp-walk training extended till late evening and the participants received personal attention during the session as their moves were keenly judged and corrected by the groomers.
The second day begun again with a ramp-walk session for the participants. After an hour of practice, the fourth topic of the workshop was initiated and covered – P for Philanthropy. In the current era, beauty pageant aspirants need to be prepared to do well in this area as well. The module was taken by Dipak Shahi.
After a short break, the session on physical fitness was taken by Ankit Modi. It was focused on inculcating and sustaining the right approaches towards dieting and exercising. The session was followed by a short lunch break. Post lunch break, personality module was discussed in detail till evening. Later in the evening, mock Q/A rounds were also conducted. The module was overall handled by Ankit, Dipak & Farhan.

In the evening, a session on smiling was taken by celebrity dentist Dr. Nida Khateeb. It was followed by the crowning and certificate distribution with crowning ceremony for all the participants. Each participant got customized crown from Vasudha Creations. Dr. Khateeb graciously distributed free vouchers for her consultation to all the participants. The participants also received gift hampers from Mondsub India.

Ritija Singh from Indore, one of the participants, won a special hamper from Mondsub for demonstrating the best social media skills as part of a task given to all participants. Kashish Thareja from Delhi, another participant, won a hamper for best styling on the second day. Overall, the workshop was an enormous success. The participants left with a lot of satisfaction and a big smile. They left with a lot of knowledge about the field of pageantry and clear sense of the direction in which they must move to achieve their pageant goals. They learnt their strengths and weaknesses. They realized the action steps they must take to succeed in their pageant journeys. Seeing the satisfaction on the faces of the participants, the groomers too left with a smile. The service was done well. The mission was accomplished.
