Venezuela’s Mariem Velazco defeated 76 other contestants to win the title of Miss International 2018. The grand finale of Miss International 2018 took place on Friday,9th of November 2018 at Tokyo Dome City Hall, Tokyo, Japan. Mariem was crowned by the outgoing Miss International Kevin Lilliana, of Indonesia. The grand finale which lasted for four-plus hours that saw Miss Philippines Ahista Manalo take the first runner-up crown whereas South Africa’s Reabetswe Sechoaro was awarded the second runner-up title. Miss Romania, Bianca Tirsin was crowned as third runner-up and Anabella Castro Sierra of Colombia was awarded the fourth runner-up title.

20-years-old Mariem Claret Velazco García hails from San Tomé, Anzoátegui in Venezuela. She is a professional model and stands at 5ft 11 inches tall. Maiem is the eight women from Venezuela to win the Miss International crown.
