Mio Tanaka was crowned as the winner of Miss Earth Japan 2018. The finale was held in Tokya on 23rd July. She will now represent Japan at Miss Earth 2018 later this year in the Philippines. She succeeds Yasuko Saito as the new Miss Earth Japan.

At the same event,  Misu Asuka was crowned as Miss Air, Kana Kayakawa was crowned as Miss Water and Asuka Abe was crowned as Miss Fire. Japan had placed in Miss Earth three times from 2010 to 2012. However, the country is yet to win the crown.
