It’s a well known fact that Teresa lost her parents during Sudanese Civil War. It must have been very difficult and challenging to make it so far in life. But Teresa, with her positive approach towards life, never gave up and continued to make herself an independent woman she is today. She completed her graduations and is serving as a volunteer at Community Migrant Resource Centre (CMRC) in Parramatta as a Youth Transition Support Worker. She assists youth refugees in finding proper education, employment opportunities in Australia. This is probably what defines the true beauty queen. Isn’t it?

It’s very rare that a pageant recognizes stunning black beauties like her. However, having an unconventionally unique winner like her means more appreciation to the organizers as well as more fan following to the pageant. She is also a very natural and confident speaker.
