Stunning Aletxa Marie Mueses Santana was crowned as the winner of Miss World Dominican Republic 2017 contest. The finale was held at Bar Juan Lockuart of the National Theater, Dominican Republic, Aletxa is 22 years old and is currently pursuing her degree in social communication. She will now  represent Dominican Republic at Miss World 2017. She succeeds Yaritza Reyes, who was 1st runner-up at Miss World 2016 contest.

Aletxa Maries Mueses Santana was previously a participant of Miss Universe Donimincan Republic 2014 where she placed as the first runner-up. She works as a model in part-time. Her BWAP project will focus in uplifting the condition of women in Dominican Republic, especially for those who suffered sexual abuse, cyber bullying etc. Aletxa has a big pair of shoe to fill in as the country almost reached to the crown.
