When pageant circuit of India was under speculation of whether India will be represented at Miss Earth 2017 or not, Miss Earth official declared on their instagram that Shaan Suhas Kumar will be representing India at Miss Earth 2017 contest, to be held in Philippines next month. Now many of you might be knowing Shaan as she was already a participant at Miss Earth India 2016 contest which ran into never ending controversies. However, Shaan was declared as Miss Earth India Air 2016 by the officials. Shaan later on represented India at Top Model Worldwide contest earlier this year. She succeeds Rashi Yadav as the new Miss Earth India. Shaan has been groomed professionally for pageants by Ritika Ramtri at The Tiara institute.

Shaan Suhas Kumar, 25 years old, hails from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh and is a media student, a very passionate and dedicated social worker, an NCC Cadet and a classical dancer. She has spent last 5 years in Social Developement Sector. In 2012, Shaan was chosen to be a part of Teach For India’s highly selective Fellowship Program through which she got a chance to teach the underprivileged children in Mumbai and Pune for 2 years. Later on she made few documentaries  on such social issues and works. She has also represented her state in Singapore as a Student’s Excellence Awardee for the Race For Awareness and Knowledge (RANK) Awards conducted by Air India.
