Beauty Queens on cover of Playboy

Hugh Hefner, the founder of Playboy Magazine, passed away recently. His iconic magazine received a lot of flak for the way it depicts women and at the same time it received appreciation from many for a lot of thoughtful content that it published. Beauty queens haven’t been away from Playboy too. He famously refused a deal to publish pictures of Miss America 1984 Vanessa Williams saying it would be immoral to publish her pictures without her permission. Here are some of the beauty queens who were featured in the magazine.

Miss World 2003 Rosanna Davison who famously posed for Playboy in 2014 paid tributes to Hugh Hefner talking to a famously media channel: I’m very sorry to hear of the passing of Hugh Hefner and my thoughts are with his friends and family… His creative vision and business flair certainly made a huge impact on the world and influenced many. It’s the end of an era and he will be missed… I had the pleasure of visiting him at the Playboy Mansion in summer 2013 and he was very much a welcoming, engaging and generous host. After a tour of the mansion, we had a meal, chatted about the Playboy brand and watched Charlie Chaplin movies. RIP Hugh Hefner.
