Stunning 18-years-old Matilde Lima was crowned as the winner of Miss Universe Portugal 2017. The finale was held at the Epic Sana Hotel in Lisboa. She will now represent Portugal at Miss Universe 2017 later this year. Matilde Lima succeeds Flavia Joana Brito as the new Miss universe Portugal.

At the same event, Bruna Monteiro and Silvia Moura were declared as the first and second runner-up of the pageant respectively. Portugal is sending delegates to Miss Universe since long but were successful to find only one placement till date when Laura Goncalves placed in Top 10 at Miss Universe 2011. This year Matilde shall be trying her luck to get placement and crown for her country.
