Dalila Jabri is chosen as Miss Deutschland 2017.  She will represent Germany at Miss World 2017, which is to be held in People’s Republic of China in December 2017.  Jenny Nagel was chosen as 1st runner-up and Alicia Blut was chosen as 2nd runner-up.

As per reports, Dalila Jabri is facing resistance from some people in Germany due to her hair texture, which is not representing the country at per them.  In our opinion, having an unconventional or non-typical winner is a great thing!  It just reflects the diversity of the country.  It shows the broad-mindedness and accepting nature of the countrymen.

Dalila is 20 and studies journalism.  Dalila Jabri has won perhaps the most prestigious pageant of the country and it is also one of the oldest national pageants in the world.  It dates back to 1920s.  The pagaent has produced two major international stars – Miss Universe 1961 Marlene Schmidt and Miss World 1980 Gabriella Brum.  Many winners have also won Miss Europe titles.  Susanne Petry, Miss Deutschlad 1990/91 was Miss Intercontinental 1992.
