18 years old beauty Alicia Aylies was crowned as the winner of Miss France 2017. She represented French Guiana in the contest and is the first ever winner to win from the oversea department located in South America. The finale was held in Montepellier last night, telecast live on TF1 channel, and was presented by Jean-Pierre Foucault, the famous television presenter and Sylvie Tellier, Miss France 2002. Alicia Aylies battled out 29 other delegates in the contest to claim the title of Miss France. She succeeds Iris Mittenaere as the new Miss France.

At the same event, Miss Languedoc-Roussillon was declared as the 1st runner-up, Miss Tahiti was declared as the 2nd runner-up, Miss Guadeloupe was declared as the 3rd runner-up while Miss Lorraine the 4th runner-up Traditionally winner represents France at both Miss World and Miss Universe pageant. If for any reason the eventual winner fails to qualify for either of the pageants her runner-up is appointed as the french delegate. Hence, as of now, we may assume that Alicia Aylies will be competing at Miss Universe 2017 as well as Miss World 2017.

The twelve delegates who advanced to final list were Claire Godard (Miss Alsace), Axelle Bonnemaison (Miss Aquitaine), Maurane Bouazza (Miss Bretagne), Morgane Thérésine (Miss Guadeloupe), Alicia Aylies (Miss Guyane), Meggy Pyaneeandee (Miss Ile-de-France), Aurore Kichenin (Miss Languedoc-Roussilon), Justine Kamara (Miss Lorraine), Esther Houdement (Miss Normandie), Myrtille Cauchefer (Miss Picardie), Ambre N’guyen (Miss Réunion) and Vaea Ferrand (Miss Tahiti). The Top 5 were selected basis Jury+Public votes. The winner was then picked up basis public vote after question answer round.
