Miss Santa Monica, India Williams defeated 127 other contestants to bag the title of Miss California USA 2017. Grand finale of Miss California USA 2017 took place on Sunday, December the 4th at Long Beach Terrace Theater. India was crowned by the outgoing Miss California USA, Nadia Mejia. India will represent California at Miss USA 2017 pageant next year. Miss Gold Cost,Catherine Watters was crowned as first runner-up. Second runner-up crown went to Miss Beverly Hills,Victoria Olona. Carly Diamond Stone,Miss Laguna Beach bagged the third runner-up crown and the fourth runner-up title was awarded to Miss Kern County,Brittany Payne. In the same event, Janu Patel was crowned as Miss Teen California USA 2017. Janu will represent California at Miss Teen USA 2017.
California is second only to Texas in producing maximum numbers of placement. California has won six Miss USA crowns , seven first runner-ups titles and numerous other placement.
