Oksana Barkhatova has been elected as Miss Azerbaijan 2016

Oksana Barkhatova is chosen as the winner of Miss Azerbaijan 2016 title.  She succeeds Natalia Sokolovskaya as Miss Azerbaijan title holder.  She will represent the country at Miss Universe 2016 pageant which will be held next year in January in the Philippines.  The first runner-up to Oksana was Jeyhun Aliyev, who will represent the country at Miss Intercontinental.  The second runner-up to Oksana was Gunel Mammadova, who will represent the country at Top Model of the World.  In the same event, Parviz Khalilov was chosen as Mister Azerbaijan 2016.  The winners were chosen by a jury as well as online voting.

Oksana Barkhatova has studied economics and works as a model.  She is from Moscow, Russia but is based in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Miss Azerbaijan pageant is being held since 1996.  The first Miss Azerbaijan to compete in Miss Universe was Aysel Manafova who competed in Miss Universe 2013.  Until now, Azerbaijan has not placed at Miss Universe.  Will Oksana Barkhatova create history by achieving the first ever placement?

Oksana is a gorgeous barbie with a stunning face.   Her beauty is magnetic.  However, she might be overshadowed by the taller contestants.  If she prepares well, who knows!  She may even create history with a placement in Miss Universe.  Although she is not in our Top 15 as of now, it would be nice to see her place.
