Floor Masselink crowned Miss Grand Netherlands 2016

20-years-old Floor Masselink defeated three other contestants to bag the title of Miss Grand Netherlands 2016. The grand finale of Miss Grand Netherlands took place on 5th June 2016 in Amsterdam . Miss Grand Netherlands 2015- Shauny Bult crowned Floor as her successor. Floor will represent Netherlands at the upcoming Miss Grand International 2016 pageant which is scheduled to take place in the month of October in Las Vegas, Nevada. 12 months of beauty is the franchise holder for the preliminaries of Miss Earth Netherlands and Miss Grand Netherlands.

Floor Masselink comes from Groningen  the capital city of the Eponymous province. She is currently studying Communication and Multimedia Design and works as a model. Floor enjoys cooking and exploring different cultures. Miss Grand International promotes the cause of stopping wars & this is what Floor wants to do to stop the war:

To stop the war start with yourself. Don’t be afraid to speak out, and to listen to other people. Respect each other. Talk with your neighbors, your friends, classmates and family. Learn from the people you disagree with, but don’t shy away from voicing your opinions in places where they are unpopular.I soon started noticing that beauty queens are very aware of what’s going on in the world. They’re not shallow or vain, even though a lot of people think they are. They care about taking care of other people, about sympathizing with other people and about being able to see what is going on around them. I think that the great thing about Miss Grand is that they put effort into ‘Stop the War.’
