Bollywood superstar and former Miss World Priyanka Chopra wins Favorite Actress In a New TV series at  the 42nd annual  people’s choice awards. The ceremony took place yesterday at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. Priyanka plays the role of Alex Parrish a upcoming FBI agent in ABC”s Quantico. Priyanka became the first  South Asian actor to win the People’s Choice Award. Fans from around the world voted for their favorites in films, music & television. Priyanka shared her category with the likes of Jamie Lee Curtis,Lea Michele,Marcia Gay Harden & Emma Roberts.

What is People’s Choice award? People’s Choice Award is one of the most prestigious awards in the United States which recognizes talent from film,music & television. It is been held annually since 1975 and it airs on CBS.Fans from around the world vote for their favorites in various categories.

Priyanka Chopra’s Acceptance Speech 

In her acceptance speech  Priyanka said  “To come to America and get this kind of acceptance is, I guess, what America is all about.” She also thanked her mom, cast & crew of Qantico & fans who voted for her. She presented Favorite Action move award to Furious 7 alongside John Stamos who won Favorite Actor In A New TV Series.

Priyanka wore a silver and gold dress from Vera Wang’s spring Summer 2016 collection. She accessorized her look with a ring from Djula and H. Stern ,earrings from Leticia Linton and Anita Ko, a pair of Jimmy Choo .She looked stunning!!!
