Nadia Mejia crowned  Miss California USA 2016!!!!!!!

Nadia Mejia representing Corona Del Mar won the title of Miss California USA 2016. Finale of Miss California USA took place on 6th December 2015 at Long Beach Terrace Theater.Nadia was crowned by the outgoing Miss California USA 2015 – Natasha Martinez. Nadia will represent California at Miss USA 2016. The first runner-up crown went to Miss Gold Counties -Catherine Watters where as Miss Pink Ribbons Crusade – Lauren Smolka was crowned as second runner-up. Miss Huntington Beach -Alexia Castillo & Miss Santa Monica -Carolina Urrea bagged the third and fourth runner-up crown. In the same event Athenna Crosby was crowned as Miss Teen California USA 2016. Athenna will represent California at Miss Teen USA 2016 pageant next year.

California is one of the most successfull states at the Miss USA pageant with six Miss USA titles, Terry Huntingdon Miss USA 1959, Maria Remenyi Miss USA 1966, Summer Bartholomew Miss USA 1975, Julie Hayek Miss USA 1983, Shannon Marketic Miss USA 1992, Alyssa Campanella Miss USA 2011. Seven first runner-up titles(1961,1967,1988,1998,2005,2006 & 2009) and numerous top 5, top 10 & top 15 finishes making it one of the most successful states in the Miss USA pageant.

20 year old Nadia hails from the city of Diamond bar,California. Nadia is of Ecuadorian and Lebanese descent. Her mother Kathy Eicher was Miss West Virginia 1989, her father is Gerardo Mejía  who is a rapper and singer. Nadia is a full time model based in Los Angeles,California.She appears on VH1’s Suave says. Like her father she is also  a recording artist.
