Emelina Adams crowned Miss Nevada USA 2016!!!
Emelina Adams from Henderson was crowned as Miss Nevada USA 2016 in a glittering ceremony that took place on 22nd November 2015 at W. Ham Concert Hall at UNLV. Miss USA 2011 Alyssa Campanella hosted the pageant.Emelina was crowned by the outgoing queen Brittany McGowan Miss Nevada USA 2015 and Top 5 at Miss USA 2015 pageant. Emelina will now represent Nevada at the Miss USA 2016 pageant next year. Miss Sparks – Amanda Jenkins was crowned as first runner -up where as Susan Romanishin Miss Carson City was crowned as second runner-up. In the same event Carissa Morrow was crowned as Miss Teen Nevada USA 2016, Carrisa will represent Nevada at Miss Teen USA 2016 pageant next year.
Nia Sanchez Miss USA 2014 & first runner-up at Miss Universe 2014 is the only winner from Nevada. Mary O’Neal Contino bagged the first runner-up crown at Miss USA 1978. Nevada achieved great success in early years but had a dry spell between 1988 -2000. Gina Giacinto Miss Nevada USA 20001 broke that dry spell by placing third runner up at that year’s pageant. Nevada has numerous runner-up and semi finalists.

23 year old Emelina hails from Las Vegas, she graduated from the university of Arizona with a bachelor of arts degree in pre-law and psychology. Emelina is a professional model and has appeared in music videos, bikini competitions and various photo shoots. She participated at Miss Nevada 2014 where she was in top 10. Next year she joined Miss Arizona USA where she was crowned as first runner-up. Emelina spends her time with children in a local program called Spread the Word Nevada which helps the kids in their reading, comprehension and concentration skills.
