Martine Rødseth Wins Miss Universe Norway 2015

23 year old Martine Rødseth from Northern Odal defeated 11 other contestants to bag the crown of Miss Universe Norway 2015. Martine was crowned by the outgoing queen Elise Dalby, Miss Universe Norway 2014. Martine will represent Norway at Miss Universe 2015 later this year. Miss Universe Organization narrowed down 12 finalist from 150 applications that they had received since February this year. The 12 contestants went under rigorous training under the supervision of the best experts in the industry for months before the finale.
In the same event, Cecilie Andrea Røising was crowned as first runner-up whereas Sonia Singh was awarded with second runner-up sash. Martine Rødseth competed last year as well where she was declared fourth runner-up. Martine works as a receptionist at a hotel. She has also worked as a flight attendant and as a tour guide. She enjoys travelling and meeting new people.She has worked in Egypt,Spain,Thailand and Bulgaria.
Martine winning gown & wardrobe for the enitre pageant was designed by Nina Thorsø. The Scandinavian country debuted at Miss Universe in 1952. Mona Grudt is the only Norwegian beauty to win Miss Universe in 1990. Aina Walle in 1973 won second runner-up at Miss Universe. Jorunn Kristjansen was the First runner-up at Miss Universe 1959. Norway’s last placement at Miss Universe was in 2005 courtesy of Helene Tråsavik where she managed to enter the Top 15. Miss Universe Norway pageant started to select Miss Universe representative from Norway was started in 2012 when Frøken Norge closed down their business.
