Recent buzz in pageant circuit is that Parul Shah has been hand-picked by Binibining Pilipinas Org to represent Philippines at Miss Grand International 2015. Yes, this also implies that Bb Pilipinas now has the franchise of Miss Grand International as well. Parul previously competed in Bb Pilipinas twice. First time in 2013 where she managed to place in Top 15 and then in 2014 where she placed as 4th runner-up and got the title of Miss Tourism 2014. However, she never got to compete in the said pageant as it never happened.
Parul Shah was a hot favourite to win the pageant in Bb Pilipinas 2014 however, a third time applicant Marie Jena Lastimosa won the pageant. Parul was supposed to represent Philippines in Miss Tourism 2014 contest which didn’t turn up and she became the only winner fo 2014 who didn’t compete anywhere. However, destiny had something bigger for her in stores. Today she was declared as a representative of Philippines at Miss Grand International 2015 which shall be held in Bangkok, Thailand later this year. The declaration was made by Stella Marquez de Araneta, Director or Bb Pilippinas, during a special press conference. Parul had to wait for almost 1.5 year to finally be able to represent Philippines at some international pageant. But,seems that the wait was worth..!!!
Parul Shah is a half-Indian and half-Pinoy stunner who was born in Dubai and graduated from the University of the Cordilleras. She is fluent in English, Tagalog, Pangasinense, Hindi, and Arabic.She will compete against 2 major favourites Miss India Vartika Singh and Shauny Bult, Miss Netherlands. The current year’s representative of Philippines at Miss Tourism, Ann Lorriane Colis also got a chance to represent Philippines at Miss Globe 2015 which shall be held in Toronto, Canada soon. Both of these ladies shall try their luck at their corresponding pageants and will try grabbing the crown for Philippines. Do you see that happening?
