It was a match made in gothic heaven as India’s biggest fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee collaborated with world renowned French footwear designer Christian Louboutin‬, with his iconic red soles. The setting could have easily passed off as Adam’s family living-room.

Designs ranged from Sherwanis & Band-galas for men to Sarees with over jackets, Maxi dresses & skirts, which featured hand-embroideries from across the nation in a hue of pastels, red & black. Taking inspiration from the word Bater, Mr. Mukherjeee explores new realms of couture.

The Opening Show at the Amazon India Couture Week 2015 in the national capital lacked the Bollywood glamour (we aren’t complaining about it); this helped the focus stay on clothes rather than celebrities.

Amazon India Couture Week 2015 began yesterday, 29th July, and will end on 2nd August, where former Miss World Aishwariya Rai Bachchan will be the show stopper for designer Manish Malhotra.
