The Land Of Coconuts….The Land Of Carnivals….Definitely The Land Of Exotic Beauties, Caribbean is a region which had a strong impact in MISS WORLD but is slowly fading away… As someone who follow beauty pageants closely I can definitely say that the Caribbean people are the most loveable, energetic and passionate followers of beauty pageants only second to the Filipinos.. Their respect towards their beauty queens can be understood from the fact that Lisa Hanna, MISS WORLD 1993 is a Minister of Youth and Culture in Jamaica. Will that happen in a country like India? A Beauty queen turned Minister?? No way!!!!!! Anyway let’s have a look at The MISS WORLD 2014 Delegates from the Caribbean and what can we expect from them!!! 🙂
ARUBA
Aruba never had a good run at MISS WORLD except for the fact that that Zizi Lee finished as first runner up in MISS WORLD 2001..Last year The Beautiful, Larissa Leuweu managed to enter top 20.. About Joitza she is lovely refreshing and fits into the MISS WORLD aura..What I fear is about her body, it is clearly not pageant ready and she needs to improve her communication skills. I don’t really see her winning the crown… My score: 5.8/10
BAHAMAS
One look and wow!! What a gorgeous face! I think the best representative from Bahamas to the MISS WORLD…She has a good body, charming personality which can be seen from her interview round of national pageant…she is elegant and has the grace to wow us..Watch out for her!! She is a dark horse 🙂 SCORE 7.2/10
BARBADOS
Actually sometimes I do wonder what this country is doing at MISS WORLD ??? I could only find them winning talent or sports…Are they really interested in winning the pageant?? L Looking at their delegates “No” will be the answer and this year Zoe is no exception…I can see another clapper in her…she is just an ordinary woman. Descent body and Good smile…that’s it… Score: 4.3/10
BRITSH VIRGIN ISLANDS
Like Zoe, Rosanna is also not a pageant material especially in a platform like MISS WORLD I highly doubt her chances…Her weak Sash also lays her down…She is very plain but she do possess a beautiful smile and humble personality…I don’t really see her in the radar… 🙂 Score: 4.8/10
CURACAO
Honestly speaking I love her beauty…Her face is photogenic and she do has a captivating power..Curacao is again having weak sash at MISS WORLD and I fear it affect her chances because she is one of the best Curacao ever sent into the pageant….she is sweet and fierce at the same time… I do see her as a potential semi finalist 🙂 Score: 6.9/10
DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
What can I say?? Look at her! A Black Goddess indeed…Dominican republic has won miss world only once with maria sela in 1982…I see another win for them through dhio…Dark chocolate complexion and her bang on body is an asset for Beach Beauty and Ramp walk skills for Top model…she is really a front runner at the moment 🙂 Score: 8.8/10
GUADELOUPE
Wendy Metony
Again a big disappointment from this country, She is not at all a MISS WORLD lady…But what I like about her is she is too sweet and charming…But that only will not help her win MISS WORLD. She neither has a toned body nor great ramp walk skills…no hopes at all Score: 4/10
HAITI
She has a Super Model vibe and am sure she can pull off a Manuela Modong…she is exotic in one sense…Sometimes boring as well…how long she will reach is unpredictable…but she is a good delegate. Score: 6/10
JAMAICA
I love this exotic beauty…She reminds me of Lisa Hanna…She is calm, well spoken, energetic person…she has a descent body and good ramp walk skills…More over she is involved in lot of charity works in Jamaica and am sure Julia will love her :).. Jamaica was in top 6 in 2012 and was in top 10 in 2013…Her national director was also a judge last year…So I expect her to continue the streak Score: 8.1/10
PUERTO RICO
My girl has arrived…she is my personal choice for the crown. I want her to win badly…Who can forget that epic reaction of her when she was announced as the first runner up in MISS PUERTO RICO UNIVERSE 2013 where monic perez won…She is a determined lady and fought back gaining her right to represent Puerto Rico in MISS WORLD..Not to forget she was First runner up at MISS INTERRCONTINENTAL 2012…Her face is flawless..Her body is perhaps the best and Ramp walk skills are amazing…I Can go on and on about her!!!! I really love her more than rolene, koyal, flora, Daniela and all other favorites 🙂 YOU GO GIRL 🙂 Score: 9.4/10
TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO
Trinidad and Tobago is back and back with a bang!!!What an amazing representative!!I do see her winning their second crown…Bang body and undeniably fresh look. She would be a great successor to Megan…After Gabriel Walcott in 2008 she will surely bring T&T to MISS WORLD Map again…I just adore her 🙂 Score: 9/10
US VIRGIN ISLANDS
Honestly speaking she is a very good delegate…Not to forget a previous MISS AMERICA contestant, she could possibly bring this small island to semifinals…she has a magnetic aura and good communication skills…With good preparations she will rock 🙂 Score: 7/10
Ok So You Have Seen All The Delegates From Caribbean. Summarizing It Up I Do See A Three Way Fight For The MISS WORLD Crown From This Region. They Are Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic And Trinidad and Tobago. Closely Followed By The Dark Horses Jamaica, Curacao And Bahamas…
